What a deer plush is actually like
Deer plush divide cleanly: spotted fawns, which are a woodland-nursery staple, and antlered adult deer or reindeer, which are seasonal winter decor. The nursery versions have no antlers, which also makes them safer.
Legs are the weak point on standing versions, since deer are naturally thin-limbed. Firm-filled or lightly supported legs are the difference between standing and permanently kneeling.

Deer plush questions
What is the difference between a deer and a reindeer plush?
Reindeer plush are chunkier, usually with larger antlers and a winter palette. Deer and fawn plush are slimmer, spotted and sold year round.
Do the spots wash off?
Printed spots fade over repeated washes. Appliquéd or embroidered spots do not.
Are antlers safe for babies?
Soft fabric antlers are fine; anything wired or firm is not appropriate under age three.
