What the range actually contains
Care Bears are defined by two things: body colour and belly badge. Tenderheart is brown with a heart, Cheer Bear is pink with a rainbow, Grumpy is blue with a rain cloud. The badge determines which bear it is, so badge quality is the quality signal.
Embroidered badges last; printed or heat-transferred badges crack within a year of normal use.
